Pukka Fridays is a genuine NYC party, full of stylish locals mixing it up with well-traveled members of the mulitlingual social circuit. The word pukka |'p?k?'| originated from late 17th century Hindi and translates as “genuine”. Pukka Fridays is the real thing.
Downstairs in the ‘pool lounge”, DJ Eddie plays Hip Hop and R&B in an all white space with a tempting water fountain in the middle and a twinkling, shiny disco ball above.
Upstairs @ Celebrity Suite, DJ Yohei Nishiyama features his eclectic musical taste, playing everyhing from Top 40 mash-ups mixed with house to funk-infused techno. Three queen size beds rest in the center of the room, while several booths along the wall offer sanctuary to VIP’s and occasional celebs like Don Omar and DJ Silva.
